New here?
Changing vets in Ormeau feels like a bigger deal than it is — new faces, records to move, a pet who doesn't know anyone yet. So we've made every part of it easy, including the awkward bits. Most of it, we simply do for you.
Texts are monitored during business hours (Mon–Fri, until 5pm).
And only one of them is actually yours to do.
Book online, call, or text — whichever suits. Mention you're new and where your pet has been seen before. That's genuinely all we need from you.
No awkward "we're leaving" phone call to your old clinic. With your okay, we contact them directly and request your pet's full history — vaccinations, results, notes, the lot. It's routine between clinics, it costs you nothing, and it's usually done before your first visit.
Your first visit is deliberately unhurried: time for your pet to sniff the room, time for us to read their history properly, and time for every question you've been saving up. Curious what the place is like beforehand? Take the tour on Meet Our Space — or just drop by and say hello.
Honestly, if you bring nothing but your pet, we'll manage. But these things help us hit the ground running, and the treat-stash tip has never once failed.
A quick note to save confusion: My Kind of Vet used to be there — as Animal Options Vet Clinic. In March 2026 we moved to our purpose-built clinic at 3/31 Zupp Drive, Ormeau, and took a new name to match how we practise.
We're not connected with the clinic that now operates at the old Blanck Street address. If it's Dr Anna and the team you're after, we're at Zupp Drive — same familiar faces, much lovelier building. Directions are on the Contact page, and the story of the move is on About us.
One thing to know: we care for dogs and cats only — it's part of how we keep the clinic calm. Wondering about costs before you switch? Our fees are upfront, here.
Book a first visit, or just call for a chat about your pet — no commitment, no pressure.
