Gold Coast & South Brisbane corridor
No distance surcharge, ever. Whether we're ten minutes up the road or driving to Palm Beach, the home-visit fee is the same flat rate. Additional pets on the same visit are discounted — just tell us the headcount. How it works: At-Home Vet Services.
We're not the cheapest vet on the Gold Coast, and we don't try to be. Our appointments run longer than the industry standard, because rushing a worried animal isn't care. Our building was designed around your pet's comfort, from the separate cat spaces to checkout in the consult room. And you'll see the same familiar faces at every visit — an independent team that knows your pet's name, history, and personality.
What that buys you is simple: a pet who's genuinely examined, questions that get properly answered, and problems caught while they're still small — which, over a lifetime, is also the most affordable kind of vet care there is.
Payment happens on the day, and can be taken right in the consult room — no juggling your pet at a busy counter.
A standard consultation at My Kind of Vet is $116 — a full half-hour with your vet, deliberately longer than most clinics, so your pet is never rushed and your questions all get answered. Vaccination visits always include a full examination at no extra charge.
Yes — VetPay and ZipMoney both let you spread the cost of care over time, and we accept cash and all major credit cards including Amex. If cost is a worry, tell us early: knowing the options upfront takes stress off everyone.
Yes. As with most Australian vet clinics, you pay on the day and claim back from your insurer — and we make that easy by completing the paperwork and providing records promptly, usually same-day.
Always. Estimates come before treatment, in plain language, with the reasoning explained — and if anything changes along the way, we call you before proceeding. No surprises is a promise, not a slogan.
An At-Home consultation is a flat $170 — and that includes travel, with no distance surcharge whether we're ten minutes away or driving to Palm Beach. What you're quoted is what you pay. Details of what's possible at home are on the At-Home Vet Services page.
