What we can do at home
An At-Home visit from My Kind of Vet is a full consultation — the same standard of medicine we deliver at our Ormeau clinic, with the same vets. Here's what we commonly do on a home visit across the Gold Coast:
Health checks & vaccinations
Full nose-to-tail examinations and vaccinations for dogs and cats — from puppies and kittens through to seniors.
Illness & injury consultations
Something's not right? We examine, diagnose where possible, and set out a clear plan — including whether anything needs clinic follow-up.
Senior & mobility assessments
Arthritis and ageing are often easiest to assess at home, where we can watch your pet move through their real environment. Not sure where they stand? Our quality-of-life self-assessment is a gentle place to start.
Behaviour & anxiety support
Seeing behaviour where it actually happens gives us a truer picture — and a better plan — than any clinic visit can.
Blood tests & sample collection
We collect samples at home and run them through our in-house laboratory, with results and next steps explained clearly.

Where we travel
Our At-Home vet service is based in Ormeau and travels across the northern Gold Coast and up the South Brisbane corridor. Not sure if you're in our area? Call or text us — if we can't reach you, we'll happily point you to someone good who can.
When it's time
Some goodbyes are gentler at home — on a favourite bed, in a patch of afternoon sun, with the whole family close. We offer end of life care in your home so that your pet's final moments can be peaceful, private, and entirely on their terms.
We take as much of the weight as we can — guiding you through every step, and helping with everything that comes after. You don't need to have the words ready. When you're ready, we're here.

Good questions
We travel the full length of the Gold Coast and up the South Brisbane corridor from our base in Ormeau — from Beenleigh and Logan in the north, through Coomera, Helensvale, Southport, and Robina, all the way down to Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, and Coolangatta. If you're not sure whether we reach you, just call or text and we'll tell you straight away.
A full consultation — examinations, vaccinations, blood tests, senior and mobility assessments, behaviour support, and end of life care. Anything that needs our full facilities, like surgery or X-rays, we'll organise at our Ormeau clinic and make the visit as calm as possible.
Often, yes. For reactive dogs and carrier-averse cats, removing the car trip and the waiting room removes most of the stress before we even arrive. Visits happen at your pet's pace, in their own territory — many pets barely register it as a vet visit at all.
An At-Home consultation is one flat fee — travel included, with no distance surcharge whether we're ten minutes away or driving to Palm Beach.
